Signup

1. I don't have a Facebook account. How can I sign up for Looxy/GetMeChat?

Don't worry if you don't have a Facebook account. You can sign up with your personal email on the Sing Up page.

2. I didn't receive the confirmation email after the signup.

If you cannot locate your confirmation email, please check your spam folder, as email could be filtered as spam. To avoid this in the future, please select the checkbox near the email and click Not spam. As a result, all future correspondence from Looxy/GetMeChat will be delivered to your inbox.

3. I've mistyped my email address during the registration.

If you have mistyped your email address after clicking Join, you can change it by clicking Change email address in the Welcome To Looxy/GetMeChat window.

Profile Pictures/Avatar

1. How can I set up a profile picture?

If you want to set up a profile picture for the first time, please click your username in the top right corner of the window and click Add under Gallery. The Add More Photos window will appear with the options to upload photos from your computer or Facebook. As a result, you will be able to choose the profile picture from photos in your photo gallery.

2. How can I change/delete my profile picture?

After you have added some photos and set up your profile picture, you can delete it. Please go to your profile account by clicking your username, and then, under the gallery section, click the photo that you want to remove. After the photo gallery window opens, click the recycle bin icon next to the photo that you want to delete.

3. Why cannot I upload a photo to my photo gallery?

Please note that we have manual moderation of all photos that the users want to upload. You can upload only your personal photos. It is prohibited to upload pictures of minors, drugs, alcohol, weapons, violence scenes, pornography, or any other adult content.

4. Can I upload photos from Facebook?

Sure. Just click your username in the top right corner of the window and click Add under Gallery. The Add More Photos window will appear with the option Import photos from Facebook.

Messages

1. I cannot read the incoming messages.

Please make sure that you have set up your profile picture, because every time you open your messages, a window will pop up with an offer to set an avatar in order to continue chatting.

2. I have no response to my messages.

All your incoming activity can be found at the Chat page. Make sure that you have logged in to your account. In the top right corner of the window, click Messages. Now you should be on the chat page. On the left sidebar you can see the list of all people who messaged you something. To increase your chances of getting response from other users, you should send likes and messages to more people.

3. How can I save/delete the incoming messages?

Currently all incoming messages are stored in your inbox for several days and there is no option to save or delete any messages. But we are working on improving the messages for you. Stay tuned!

General Questions

1.What is mutual sympathy?

In the "Mutual Sympathy" section, you will see the list of people who mutually liked your profile.

2.How can I see the list of my friends?

On the left side bar, click "Friends" to view the list of all people that you have added to your friends list.

3.What is the difference between "Who Likes Me" and "Visitors"?

"Who Likes Me" shows all users who clicked "Like" next to your photo. "Visitors" are people who visited your profile page and viewed your photos.

4.Can I block a user?

Sure! If you want to restrict specific users from contacting you, do the following:
1. Go to the profile of that person.
2. Under "Gallery", click "Block user".
3. A new window with the question "Are you sure that you want to block this user?" will appear.
4. Click "Yes" if your answer is positive. Now this user is blocked and won't disturb you again.

5.Can I change the interface language?

Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner next to your username to open the Settings page. The very last option is "Interface Language". Currently, English is the only available interface language with no option to change it. But we are preparing localizations for you in the future.

6.Why do I need to add interests?

By adding your interests you will increase chances to meet new people with the same interests, hobbies, and values. Algorithms of the website will better identify users with whom it will be interesting for you to chat.

Account

1.How can I unsubscribe from emails?

1. Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner next to your username to open the Settings page.
2. Click the "edit" link next to the "Notification Settings" field and change your subscription status.

2.How can I change my city?

To change the city in your account, do the following:
1. Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner next to your username to open the Settings window.
2. Click the "edit" link next to the "City" field and enter another city that you are from.

3.How can I change my email/password for the account?

1. Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner next to your username to open the Settings window.
2. Click the "edit" link next to the "Email" or "Password" field to change your email or password.

4.How can I delete my account?

Currently there is no option to delete your account manually. You can send a request to Support Team to delete your account immediately (support@looxy.com).

5.Can I see people only from New York (for example) if I'm from another city? How can I change it in the settings?

If you want to see people only from New York (for example), you should change your own location to New York:
1. Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner next to your username to open the Settings window.
2. Click the "edit" link next to the "City" field and enter Delhi there.
3. Go to the Main Page, and then like or skip 5 photos to refresh the selection. The next people should be from your new location.
